Hello,

I am doing research for my university thesis on terminology extraction and was wondering if anyone can help by answering a short questionnaire.

A lot of research has been conducted on Translation Memories and "CAT tools". Hello,

I am doing research for my university thesis on terminology extraction and was wondering if anyone can help by answering a short questionnaire.

A lot of research has been conducted on Translation Memories and "CAT tools". Semi-Automatic Term Extraction (SATE) has been around for some time (e.g.MultiTerm Extract, the term extractor in Memo-Q). This research looks into current use of SATE. However, you are not required to know what SATE is, or to be currently using it, in order to fill in the questionnaire.

Participant criteria:
a) Mainly translate in specialised subject-matters (i.e. subject-matters with a high level of terminology)
b) Use CAT tools
c) Have English as a working language.

By filling in the questionnaire, you will receive a free copy of the report about SATE (its strength and weaknesses, when to use it, etc.). This research is intended to benefit translation professionals.

Questionnaire: http://soorvey.com/en/?s=163CHQYLIRN

Thank you in advance!
