I need a video tool to add a .ssa subtitle to my movie. Although there're a lot of source on the web, but hard to find one that can be truely used. Please recommend one to me. And is there any chance that this video tool could be a video converter too? That would be rather good. Thanks in advance.

You may find it (and anything you need in digital video) by searching at http://www.videohelp.com . You'll need the Subtitler plugin by Lee Avery for it too. Videohelp will find you the necesary instructions & tutorials.

If you handle it well, you'll get a great job done. I've been using VirtualDub for a few years, and my subtitles are always neater and sharper than the video itself.

Regarding conversions, search for what you need to convert into what there too.

Video converter Sep 13, 2010

I't be quite absurd to make a subtitle program double as a video converter, these are two quite different things.
For video conversions, you probably can't go wrong with the free and open source Handbrake (supposing it supports the input and output formats you need).
