Financial translations: plural and singular forms in English and Spanish

I was wondering whether it's more common to use plural forms in English than in Spanish in financial translations for Argentina. I've seen for example that "assets" (plural) is translated as "activo", but "other income" is translated as "otros ingresos" (singular).
