Because I appear on the freelance search, I would like to know though, how can freelancers use the directories to find work- A lot of people here complain about the job postings and how difficult is to get work there. In my experience, I was contacted by someone who needed 3000 words translated and I was lucky to be given that opportunity. (and NO I don't need Korean - Swahili translators) If you really want to contact agencies, check out which ones are in the same business (be that technical, medical, legal or something else) ...as you and what you really have to offer them (besides lower rates).... are you THE expert in a field of interest??)... Then call them, visit them and send them your CV... (they usually post a job if they actually need peopple, very few agencies have/take the time to find new and amazing transators when they don't have jobs for them)...... Anyway, it's probably best to look for direct client anyway, if you are going to spend time finding new sources of income....
