SITE LOCALIZER
I hope no-one will mind if I use this forum as the simplest way to convey my thanks to all the colleagues who sent me messages of support during my recent brief hospitalisation.
Being alone and ill's not much fun, and when it comes suddenly, it can be quite scary.
But all the support I received from my many friends and colleagues on ProZ was both reassuring and cheering -- and I'm pleased to say that I even managed to establish an internet connection and keep working fr... I have been so touched by everyone's kindness, including some of my loyal regular clients.

Dear Dysty,
Count your blessing and get well soon.
I was hospitalised 4 times in the last 3 years (2 major surgeries and 2 minor). So, I know how you fell (x4). It is scary when you are alone.
I don't know you, but I feel for you and I wish you NEVER have to relive the experience.
All the best for the future. Mainly HEALTH, HEALTH and HEALTH!!!

Although I have not known you for very long, I am sure I speak for everyone when I say it is a pleasure to be able to help you, as you have always been such a great friend in the past.
And you definitely get bonus points for working from the hospital! With such dedication, no wonder your clients love you.

...to all those who have so kindly contributed to this thread.
My problem isn't about to go away just yet, but it's reassuring to know at least that it's nothing life-threatening. Hopefully I can keep away from hospitals from now on!

Je ne savais rien,mais quelle que soit ton problème pense que ton attitude est primordiale, et le fait de savoir que tu n'es pas seule influe drôlement.
Sache donc que de ce côté des hertz les pensées et les prières ne vont pas te manquer, et c'est très important.
Je t'envoie toute la force positive dont je suis capable et "en avant Fanfan!" Tu es le principal artificier de ta guèrison...

The advent of the Internet may have resulted in more people working at home (and therefore in isolation), but it can still bring whole communities together (as is the proof here). So in a way, you are not alone
