HI,
Tool: Idiom Desktop Workbench Version 9.0.0.135.
When I tried to merge exported subprojects (i.e. .wpz files) into the parent project, the following error appeared:
"11/11/2008 4:05:03 PM - Merge of mySubProject_001 failed. The selected
subproject has been generated from another project."
That is, I failed to merge.

(Note that the other day I could actually succeeded in merging one subproject.
Since then, I've never overwritten the parent project with another project.
And I'm very sure that I didn't generate the subproject from another parent project.)
Finally, if the merge is impossible, could you kindly tell me how to create the equivalence to the merged project, for example, by using the initial "New Project" screen to choose "Add entries to an existing translation memory" in "Translation Memory" group, selecting "100%" in "Tools" -
"Options" - "Minimum score", and choosing "Translation" - "Propagate to All Assets" or something (though I don't yet try the last method)?

Although I posted this question almost one year ago, there are still some people who send me an email to ask about the results of this problem.
So, let me tell the conclusion here:

So, let me tell the conclusion here:

The cause of the problem seemed to be as follows:
if you started to process your project as a .wpz file, you MUST process it
as a .wpz file until the last (that is, never export your project as a .xlz
file!!).
If you exported your project to a .xlz, then the project name would be
automatically changed, and this is the cause of failure to merge!
On the other hand, if you have ever exported your project as a .xlz file,
how about doing the copy and paste, or else, how about trying the _proposals_
which I suggested in my first post:
"Use the initial 'New Project' screen to choose 'Add entries to an existing
translation memory' in 'Translation Memory' group, selecting '100%' in
'Tools' -'Options' - 'Minimum score', and choosing 'Translation' - 'Propagate to All
Assets' or something (though I don't yet try the last method)."
For any proposal of mine, you should first back up your project.
And I will be not liable for any damage that you may experience by trying
any of these proposals.
Cheers,

Instead of copy-pasting each segment, perhaps it would have been easier to load all your translated segments from your subproject into any TM, then opening the main project, select the TM from the previous step and apply the translation.
It should be faster, especially for big projects.
Hope it helps.

HI, Juan!
Thank you for replying to me!!
I've never expected someone would reply after such a long interval!!!
Yes, I'll surely try your suggestion next time I have a similar trouble!
And I believe your suggestion will help other people, too!!
Thanks a lot and warmest regards.
