The terminology is so confusing. They call it "printing tissue paper", yet use it for wrapping fruit and cosmetics.

I tell ya, the Chinese text in that Baidu page was written so poorly, I could hardly follow what it's trying to say. I really feel for you guys, especially the ones who have to do Chinese-to-English translation on a regular basis.

Definition:

A lightweight, dense and durable paper with a basic size of 17" x 22", manifold paper normally has an unglazed finish. However, manifold paper also comes in glazed and cockle finishes.

Typically made from wood or rags, manifold paper comes in many colors and is usually translucent, thin, and crisp. It may be referred to as tissue paper or onionskin paper.

Examples: Interleaved with carbon paper for manifold or carbon sets for typing duplicate copies, manifold paper is also used for map overlays.
