I answered in the morning as I am an "early bird", but I would like to add "when my children are sleeping"... for obvious reasons.

Why not put that as an option? I work all hours, but I normally try to sleep on it and hit it early the next morning for review and out.
That is if I can. | | |

Morning I feel fresh and my mind is free of cobwebs, so I prefer morning commitments but unfortunately my clients are related to newpaper advertising and their day start at noon and end at late night. So most of the e-jobs I get are around 2.00 p.m.

between 10am and noon and again between 4pm and 6pm, that's when I can focus best. During those hours I get more done than during the entire rest of the day. I learned in time management seminars that this is a natural thing and that all professionals should observe their personal biorhythm to be able to schedule demanding tasks accordingly.
...when I get the chance. | Feb 18, 2006 |
I lecture during the day. In the afternoon I take care of my duties as attorney. Translating comes after that from 7 pm to 12 am (I'm definitely a night owl).

... and the coffee helps!
My best mental time is 8-11 a.m. and my best physical time is 5-8 p.m. Now I just have to adjust my son's nap schedule accordingly...

There are classic biological best times, although the odd creature here and there work best otherwise.
I am in my ofice every morning (6 days a week) at 8h30 and word to around 13h00. After a break, I get going again around 14h00 to around 18h00.
A bit sluggish at the start of the afternoon, by 18h00, I often find it quite tough to leave but have no choice to pick up the children around that time.

My field of work often requires me to be available at odd times though. 2 in the morning on a cold Sunday for a race finish, just as I can be called in on an public holiday afternoon to do a quick 2 hour paper.
These sort of committments generally only arise between Easter and Halloween, so through the winter months I have generally a more standard work day. ▲ Collapse

Yes, I prefer night for sure, specially when there is no much work to do the following day. I also teach or have interpreting jobs in the afternoons, so translating at night is not an option sometimes (lovely deadlines...). And, as Stephanie said, coffee helps a lot!
Warm Regards

I have to say, in the morning, between 7 and 9am, but also in the evening between 8 and 10pm. No phone calls or e-mails to distract as most offices are closed.
