31 years is the longest, starting about six months into my career.

I have been working with my long-standing customer (a small Belgian translation agency) for 29 years. I have been working with a direct client (an European regional association) for 25 years.

A Swedish agency met here in 2004, before 2004 I was working in house in a jewels company while teaching French in a school for accountants (evenings)

I haven't been freelancing for very long, but my longest-standing client is the first client I ever worked with as a freelancer. I started working for them literally two days before I was officially a freelancer.

Italians are often offended when you ask them to pay your bills, this is a culture "bad habit".
