I just found out that he 42 Yonge Street location for Richtree is closed, it is not longer on the www.richtree.ca website. Websearches reveal that the location is closing (http://www.torontolife.com/daily/daily-dish/opening-daily-dish/2010/01/27/movenpicks-toronto-rebirth-comes-as-200-employees-are-let-go-by-its-predecessor/). So that takes Richtree of the table. The Keg is nice, but I thought a place with a wide menu would be attractive to all.Collapse

Time for something new Feb 24, 2010

Ematei has genuinely authentic Japanese cuisine (ie: a variety of hot meals for those not interested in sushi) at 30 St Patrick St, near Osgoode subway station, +1 416 340 0472.

Or French influenced Bodega Restaurant at 30 Baldwin St, less than 5 min walk from St Patrick subway station, +1 416 977 1287.

Both places should fit a group of 10-20, reservations recommended AFAIK.

Ematei and Toronto Weather Watch Feb 25, 2010

Thanks for the suggestions Daniel. I think we can go with Ematei, unless there are some strong objections. There is also the issue of the coming winter storm (http://www.theweathernetwork.com/news/storm_watch_stories3&stormfile=sontstorm_febtwenty_20_02_2010&warningtype=sw?ref=stormwatch_home). I will ... There is also the issue of the coming winter storm (http://www.theweathernetwork.com/news/storm_watch_stories3&stormfile=sontstorm_febtwenty_20_02_2010&warningtype=sw?ref=stormwatch_home). I will monitor the weather reports and continue to post updates. If it is too dangerous to travel, we will have to reschedule.

Please do not hesitate to contact me on Sunday at (647) 521-9673 if you are wondering if we are still going to meet or not.

Powwow at Bodega Restaurant at 30 Baldwin St, Toronto Feb 25, 2010

I have updated the Powwow location information to Bodega Restaurant at 30 Baldwin Street, Toronto, this Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 6 PM. The closest subway station is St. Patrick. I see that a number of "regulars" have not signed up, please encourage others to attend if you do not see them on the attendees page. The promotional invitations always go out, but it seems that sometimes people get missed.

The reservation is under both Suzanne Deliscar and Daniel Paszkiewicz.

Powwow Report and Pictures Mar 12, 2010

Thank you to Anne and Daniel for getting the pictures to me. I am trying to resize them since they are larger than the size accepted by Proz.com. I will put the report up as well too.
