InDesign Pages right to Left Thread poster: Phrase9
| Phrase9 South Africa Arabic to English
Dear colleagues Please help! I have an InDesign file which I had to edit. I am done but we noticed that the pages follow the English order, for example: page 2 is on the left then page 3 is on the right then when you flip, page 4 is on the left and page 5 is on the right. Does anyone here know how to basically "flip" the pages so that it is ready to be printed as an Arabic book? Appreciate your urgent repsones
Please email it to me to check. Regards | | | Phrase9 South Africa Arabic to English TOPIC STARTER

and I don't have access to my copy right now to check it, but you should find the setting you are looking for under File->Document Setup, Binding Options. Here is the link: http://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/pages-spreads.html Best, Tim

Thanks timothy After I click on Document Setup, I don't see a 'Binding Options' button. | | | I was afraid that might be the case | May 7, 2014 |
When I purchased my most recent upgrade (two years ago now), the applications were all delivered by download. Prior to downloading, I set my language to English(Arabic) in the Creative Cloud so I would be able to download the Arabic-enabled version of InDesign. You may or may not have done this; if you have, it could be that the menu options have changed; again, I'll take a look on my home PC but that won't be for eight hours or so. Do a search at InDesignSecrets.com for page binding, or "right to left"; there are a few articles there. Some helpful, some just point to third party tools. http://indesignsecrets.com/topic/is-there-a-way-to-convert-or-invert-a-western-document-to-a-right-to-left-persian-one Best, Tim ▲ Collapse | | | samehme United States Local time: 00:38 English to Arabic + ... Hi, Should you have the Middle Eastern version of InDesign, you will be able to flip the pages by going to: The "LAYOUT" Menu, then Click on "REVERSE LAYOUT". Then, an Options dialog pops up. Usually, most of these options are ok, except the "Flip Graphics", which you have to be cautious with, so the Images are in the correct direction. Good luck.
