במקרה שלי המילים האלה מופיעים בתעודת הוקרה על נטיעת עצים
תודה
Simon Charass Oct 7, 2015:
@o_delia There must be something more to it than just 2 words. What come before, what is referring to, it's a monument, about a person, a prayer. Help us to help you.
o_delia (asker) Oct 7, 2015:
thank you, but to my regret there is no context, only these two words
Simon Charass Oct 6, 2015:
@o_delia Both answers by Gad and David are correct. It all depends of the context. If you give us the entire sentence or the context, it will be of a great help.

as an eternal memorial

The term is used to describe something -- a monument, a plaque, or some such -- that serves as a permanent memorial, normally of a person.

in eternal remembrance

Now we are getting somewhere. This is probably a Yad vashem or a KKL (Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael) Certificate. In this case I would translate it as “in eternal remembrance”.

remembrance:
- the act of remembering a person, thing, or event
- something that is done or made to honor the memory of a person, thing, or event
- a memory of a person, thing, or event
