It is a neologistic portmanteau of information and entertainment, referring to a type of media which provides a combination of information and entertainment.

Infoholdning er samme type orddannelse, men åpner vel litt lettere for andre tolkninger? Og som oftes brukes infotainment også på norsk... Dessverre.
