Compliance Screening
If the definition according to Section 3.2.2 applies to a Business Partner, and if the agreed consulting service is not excluded from the application of these provisions, a Compliance Screening will be carried out for the consultant/intermediary in all cases by the Business Compliance Organisation.
As part of the Compliance Screening, a review of any status of the consultant/intermediary takes place as a politically exposed person.

sarà svolta una verifica dell'eventuale qualità di soggetto politicamente esposto...
Oppure "l'eventuale qualità [...] sarà verificata/accertata". Credo che il tuo dubbio dipenda dal fatto che la frase non è costruita molto bene a livello sintattico, nel senso che c'è una sorta di inversione; "takes place" è il verbo del soggetto "a review", mentre "as a politically exposed person" è la continuazione di "any status of the consultant/intermediary".
