Da "Ae" bereits benutzt wird, als die Abkürzung for "modification/modified", glaube ich, dass "Modus" => mode die einzige, übrigbleibende Möglichkeit ist.
Leider aber ist der Begriff "Mod" nicht in z.B. einem Handelsregisterauszug aus dem schweizerischen Zug zu finden.
