Could it mean there are contingency problems?

There's not really much context to go on but I think this means that the information is tied with / linked to /relies on other information provided in another source (database/site/programme...?). It's not stand-alone, independent information. We really need to know what the information is 'dependent on'.

With the lack of context, it is difficult to tell exactly what the author means by "dependencia".
