Using Google My Business for marketing

Good morning all,

I wanted to use Google My Business to at least appear on web browser searches. I completed the profile as mush as possible but now it asks me to verify my business by making a video of me opening the premises etc.

I'm a self-employed translator / proofreader with my office at home.

Has anyone else had this problem or, better still, overcome this problem?

Hi, I inactivated my account last year when what they requested to "verify my business operations" became too ridiculous.
