Job Description

Position Overview:

At TransPerfect, linguists are vital to our operations. Your language proficiency and subject matter expertise will ensure our deliverables meet the highest standards before reaching clients. Working closely with your manager and Project Managers, you will be responsible for translating and proofreading documents for a diverse client base in the Life Science industries.



This is a remote freelance position open to candidates worldwide.



We are currently expanding our pool of freelance linguists who can translate:

From Simplified Chinese (China) into English for:

CTD Quality
CTD Non-Clinical
CTD Clinical


Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Simplified Chinese (China).
Expertise in one or more of the specified fields.
Strong attention to detail, including spelling and grammar accuracy.
Ability to maintain professionalism and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.


Job Requirements

Applicants must meet at least ONE of the following criteria:

Hold a degree in Translation, Linguistics, Language Studies, or an equivalent program with significant translation training from a recognized university;
Have 2 years of professional translation experience plus a college degree;
Have 5 years of professional translation experience without a college degree; OR
Possess a translation competence certificate issued by an appropriate government authority.


Preferred Experience:

Academic background in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field.
Experience translating regulatory/pharmaceutical documents.
Familiarity with CTD structure and terminology, and CMC technical content is preferred.

Free translation and MTPE assessments will be administered to evaluate skills.
