Hi,
sometimes there are topics discussed here of which I would like to keep track of. Is there a feature in Proz that allows topics to be added, say, to favourites?
There's a link at the top of the topic saying "Track this topic" (right under the title). I haven't used it myself, but I think this is what you are looking for.
On second thought, I see you want to add it to a list of "favorites" (which is not the same thing). I have often thought that it would be handy to mark job posts in the same manner.

This feature, that would be indeed quite useful, has already been requested many moons ago and has never been realized. The staff may still be looking into it, or maybe not, who knows. Like a lot of other things. So be patient! | | | Samuel Murray Madalmaad Local time: 00:21 Liige (2006) inglise - afrikaani + ... Testing testing | Aug 14, 2022 |

Can't you just bookmark them in your browser? | | | Samuel Murray Madalmaad Local time: 00:21 Liige (2006) inglise - afrikaani + ... Tracking a topic | Aug 14, 2022 |

This is an RSS feed link. If your browser has a built-in RSS reader, the browser will possibly notify you whenever there is a new post (if you set the refresh time to e.g. 1 minute). Or you can copy/paste the URL into a separate RSS reader. Here is what the thread looks like in QuietRSS:

Unfortunately ProZ.com's RSS feature is misconfigured, as it uses "ProZ.com Translation Forums" as the title for all feeds, instead of the title of the thread, which means that you'll quickly lose your overview if you subscribe to multiple thread feeds.
Different RSS readers offer different functionality, e.g. to remain in the system tray or to pop up a notification when a new post arrives, etc. I suppose this could be useful if you're trying to follow a lively thread and you want to be notified of every new post while you wait/work.

And Opera has a feature that allows saving text or links to a pinboard. Looks like this is working fine, but it would be better if it could be done within Proz. something like "Your favorites". For now I will try out this pinboard feature. Thanks to all for your postings. | | | WolfgangS Prantsusmaa Local time: 00:21 Liige (2007) inglise - saksa + ... With this "pinboard" feature of Opera. I creates a list of pinned links.

To follow a thread is not so difficult, but there are threads that offer solutions for particular problems and once the topic is closed, this thread goes all the way down in the list until disappearing. It's these helpful topics I would like to save and apparently the pinboard feature of Opera does just this.
