O wine-bearer brighten my cup with the wine
O minstrel say good fortune is now mine.
The face of my Beloved is reflected in my cup
Little you know why with wine, I always myself align.

Persian (ornate and cursive) script on that bowl
Mar 3, 2017
Greetings ... privyet...
Sasan's translation of the original pre-modern Persian inscription along the side of that displayed bowl is correct and authentic.
In my humble opinion, Sasan deserves commendation as a real "molodyets" or "dobrii chelovek" for his effort in readin and translating that inscription, as that script is rendered and depicted in the very-old ornate and cursive style ("courtly" would also be an apt descriptor) of literary Persian.
