Medical Translation - Distance learning or online course?

Dear colleagues,

I am very interested in finding an online or distance course on medical translation. Does anybody have any information in this respect? I have tried to find one that suits my needs via the Internet with no success. Any info would be very much appreciated.

... is a course on medical terminology such as those offered for secretaries who wish to work in hospitals, clinics, etc.

Now, are those offered online, that I cannot say.

Good luck! I wish to establish myself as a medical translator too, I got my background knowledge of the medical field through the studies of my BSN and my work experience as a nurse...

It's a MSc in Scientific and Medical translation. Looks VERY interesting to me! http://www.hu.ic.ac.uk/translation/

Only problem, it's not offered by distance or online education. However, there is a questionnaire that you can fill up and return to them, in order to voice your interest in an online version of this MSc.

Yes, I knew about this course, and you are right, I also thought it was extremely interesting. The problem is, as you say, it's not available as a distance course at the moment, and I would not have the time to attend, unfortunately. Moreover, I am looking for medical translation exclusively, if possible. But thanks so much for taking the time to post the info!
