Some of the testers cannot connect to VLTM. A translator English to Russish wrote in Wordfast Group his message: VLTM - connection failed.
I copied his message into DOC in MS Word. I did select empty TM in EN-US--RU-RU language pair. I did set-up my INI. Then I started standard translation in segment mode: Alt+Down. I received zero match with VLTM, so I made Context Search and I can find result with translation units for every segment.

Look at http://www.condak.net/testing/en_ru/en/00.html

Very nice paradox: for segment „connection failed“ I received 100% match:
http://www.condak.net/testing/en_ru/en/00.html.

Translated text is no howto for using VLTM, which is in beta since September 2005.
If you have installed WfServer, and you use a remote VLTM, don't start WfServer.exe locally. You actually don't even need it.

Check your language pair in
03 In Wordfast checked "The remote VLTM is active"
04 Saved settings to wordfast.ini

I wish you luck by testing,

In Wordfast Group was opened a topic: VLTM does not work. What is wrong?

My advice was, that wrong is:
(a) your connection or,
(b) your set-up in wordfast + relevant INI (language pair of active "local TM" have to be displayed on VLTM tab),or
(c) your set-up of VLMT module (INI).

Another user is informing:
INI files deleting did not work for me, I had to upgrade both WF and VLTM client twice (yes, just re-installing the same files) and then I got it.

So I must add:
(d) you have old version of WF and VLTM client in your PC. Upgrade your programs.

Milan,
VLTM user and promoter
