Hi all,

Does anyone know if a Quark Xpress file can be translated with Trados (tag editor, t-windows...)?

Is there any way to export a quark xpress file to .rtf to translate with Trados and then convert the file back into a Quark Xpress file?

Use StoryCollector (plugin from Trados) for QXP up to version 6.5 Sep 8, 2006

And transate the exported file in Tageditor.
Refer to Trados File Format Reference Guide (to be obtained from TranslationZone) for the whole process.

Hi Jerzy,

I have Trados 6.5 and Quark 6.1.

Would it be much asking how do I use the StoryCollector plug-in? I don't even know where to find it...

C:\Program Files\TRADOS\T65_FL\FI\QXP\6.0_E

Copy the files to the appropriate extensions folder of your QXP installation, start QXP and check your menus - Story Collector should be there.

Thank you. I've just realised in my QXP folder it only gets to 5.0.

No 6.0 folder present.

I think I need to get an older version of Quark, because my Quark version says the Trados files are not suitable.

I'll keep trying.

QXP 6.0 should be supported by Trados 6.5.
What is your build number?

A ProZ colleague helped me out with the 6.0 files and now everything is fine.
