Upgrading to newer version of Trados

Am I right in assuming that over the course of 30 years of application development the manufacturer of Trados has not been able to implement a feature that would allow a simple one-step import of all settings and old projects from the previous version? This is ridiculous.

Which version are you now using and which version did you use previously?
