I receive this sort of emails from time to time, I have even replied to a few just to make sure. They are definitely scam, don't waist your time. | | |

* Punctuation not followed by spaces... check * Lots of attention paid to irrelevant payment details... check * Officious-sounding administrative lingo... check * Overdoing the politeness... check The first item seems to occur in most scams posted here. I wonder why? | |

I forgot to mention that the new lady from the accounting department will send you a check with the wrong amount. Please be so kind and, after you deposit the fake check we sent, keep $100 for your trouble and send us back the rest. I fully appreciate your gullibility! Stay out of overpayment scams. When I read certain scammers names and when they greet me with "Dear" or anything else other than my name, I am always very apprehensive. So, I stay away from them and ignore their requests.
