I have degrees in General Science, German and Music from the University of Edinburgh, and a European Masters in Conference Interpreting from the Copenhagen Business School. In both translation and interpreting my language combination is: FROM German,Danish/English TO English/German. I am particularly experienced with translations in the field of Music (e.g. a Ph.D. thesis on the rhetoric of renaissance opera) and literature (I have extensive knowledge of German literature, have translated e.g. poetry of Brecht and Trakl). A good deal of my translation activity is however devoted to the field of business and commerce. Translating annual reports and other company publications takes up a good deal of my time. I should also mention that I studied E.U. law as part of my Masters degree, and have done a good deal of translation in this field (e.g. food legislation).
