SDL TRADOS 2015 runs only in DEMO mode

I need your help on this!!
A couple of days ago, I bought and installed SDL Trados 2015 and activated the license.
The license in my SDL account is still activated, but the application is running in DEMO mode (around 550 EUR and demo mode??) and of course there's no support to contact (unless you pay for it).
Any idea?

When you download Studio for the first time it is in demo mode for 30 days.
This is the professional version (not freelance).
You get extra features, not fewer:
- Autosuggest dictionary creation (you need a special license for this if you have the Freelance version)
- Any number of languages (limited to 5 with Freelance)
- You can create packages

As you have bought Studio 2015, you can activate your license at any time during those 30 days, and then it will change to the version you have bought. To do this go to Help>Product activation


and of course there's no support to contact (unless you pay for it).
Any idea?


You get support (for free) for any download/installation/license issue.

I can't find a place on SDL website where I can log a support request to a human being. All links I selected so far direct me to the knowledge base

Go to the Solution Finder at http://kb.sdl.com/#tab:SFTab:crumb:0 and follow the path in the screenshot below. Then fill in the form on the right (not shown).

thanks a lot for the link. I'll send them a service request through that link and we'll see.
I hope they are going to help me fix this bug very soon, otherwise I'll have to raise a complaint via Paypal... I paid for it and I should be able to use it fully licenced!!

Quick update Jul 29, 2015

The request module connected to that link does not work (hopelessly loading for ages....).
However, I was able to contact SDL Support through the Sale Department (threatening to ask for a reimbursement through Paypal) and quickly received a support ticket via email.
They worked remotely and silently for a couple of days and this morning the issue is solved (hopefully for good!).

What bad luck you're having, Elisabetta. I helped another user through the activation process of a demo version just a couple of days ago and it went just fine.

Have you just upgraded to Windows 10 by any chance? That's the only reasonable explanation that I can think of for Studio to switch back to demo mode.

My update to Windows 10 is planned for tomorrow.
I still have Windows 8.1 installed, but probably Windows is already updating part of the system

Third activation in a row Jul 31, 2015

I activated the license on Friday. On Saturday the sw was again in demo mode. Yesterday your colleague Monica reset the license remotely and SDLT2015 ran in fully licensed mode.
I have not deactivated it in the meantime.
I have now activated the code once again.
