The rotation of the motor is converted into a swivelling movement and a stroke of the tie rod by the ***flexspine gear*** and the lead screw. For clamping, the tie rod is swivelled by 90°, starting at the unclamping position, and pulled towards
the clamping position.
The clamping force and the clamping and unclamping positions are monitored by inductive proximity switches. The clamping force is maintained by selflocking.

This seems to be a mistake for "flex spline" - you'll notice that almost all of the Google results come from one or two sources. Also, from a quick glance at the pictures in the document found when searching for this sentence, the possibility of "flex spline" is high.

フレクスプライン seems to refer to the whole piece, so I don't think you need to explicitly translate the "gear" part. See:
