Forum: Off topic
Topic: Optimist, pessimist, realist
Poster: lingomania

Inspired by a quote from Reardon, I thought of posting something that I have believed in for ages. Since I was 13, I couldn't understand why people were always slotted into TWO categories: optimists or pessimists. That was always too tight and irrational for me and only convenient for someone else, so I thought about it for many years and through life experiences, etc. concluded that there IS a third category: the realists. My point is that anyone can be either an optimist or a pessimist at heart, but he/she might well be a realist after all. Ponder people ponder.

Robert.
