L’importanza del centro crebbe nel corso del II e del I secolo a.C. con l’arrivo di nuovi abitanti. Ricevette il titolo di colonia direttamente da Giulio Cesare, forse nel 45 a.C. Negli anni 26-25 a.C. l’imperatore Augusto vi abitò, condusse guerre contro i Cantabri e gli Asturi e, per la prima volta, governò l’Impero risiedendo fuori Roma. Questa fu epoca di grandi innovazioni urbanistiche, tra le quali le più importanti sono la ristrutturazione della rete viaria, la costruzione del teatro e l’innalzamento di un altare di cui c’è testimonianza in fonti classiche.

Source text - German Wir wünschen uns sehr, dass wir weiter in Kontakt bleiben und unseren begonnen Austausch zu den frauenpolitischen Themen fortführen können.
In der Arbeitsgruppe - GEWALT GEGEN FRAUEN – gab es ja aus XXXXXX von Frau XXXX XXXX den Vorschlag, Frauen aus unseren Regionen anzuregen, sich kreativ mit dem Thema auseinander zu setzten, sei es in Bildern, Texten, Collagen und ähnlichem und diese Arbeiten zu einer Ausstellung zusammenzuführen, die in den Partnerregionen gezeigt werden kann.
Das wäre eine schöne Aktion zum 25. November, dem Internationalen Tag gegen Gewalt an Frauen.
Wir fanden die Idee deshalb sehr bemerkenswert, weil sie über Sprachbarrieren hinausgeht.

Nel gruppo di lavoro –VIOLENZA CONTRO LE DONNE – già a XXXXX è sorta da parte della Signora XXXXX XXXX la proposta di incoraggiare le donne della nostra regione a esprimersi creativamente sul tema mediante immagini, testi, collage e simili e di raccogliere questo materiale per una esposizione che si potrebbe organizzare nelle regioni collaboratrici al progetto.
Questa potrebbe essere una bella iniziativa per il 25 novembre, giornata internazionale contro la violenza alle donne.
Abbiamo pensato che questa idea sia degna di nota in quanto supera le barriere linguistiche.

I was born in Italy and got my University Degree at the Università Ca' Foscari di Venezia, in Venice, Italy where I specialized in foreign languages. I graduated in 1990 in American-English Literature; my graduate thesis was an analysis of a juvenile job of the playwright Arthur Miller and its adaptation as a radio drama.
My study plan included French and German language and literature. I also specialized in Italian classic and contemporary literature (4 years). After my degree, I worked as a technical department assistant, having the task to edit and translate assembly and instruction manuals for tobacco machinery; the company provided me technical and computer training. Later I worked in other firms, and I was assigned a wider category of tasks including being the interpreter in meeting with foreign customers, writing and/or translating marketing and advertisement material; In this case as well I received the due training (foreign commerce, computer, exportation, fashion glossary).
In 1997 I moved to Argentina for personal reasons, and this is why I reached an almost native level of Argentinian Spanish, later accomplished by my life experience in Spain. In Buenos Aires I kept on working as a translator, dealing above-all with language and literature texts, tour guides, psychology, etc. I have also been teaching Italian in official institutions, pursued my training as a teacher, worked on subjects concerning Italian-Spanish translation and language teaching. I also wrote and published didactic material for advanced Italian language students.
Since when I established in Barcelona, in 2002, I have been working as a free-lance translator, proof-reader and editor with publishing houses and translation agencies. I had the opportunity to deal with encyclopaedias including all kind of subjects, or specific publications such as children’s books, medical papers, tour guidebooks or texts on sport topics.
Nowadays I am in condition to translate and proofread a bigger number of words per day than when I started, thanks to the newest technologies.
Late deliveries are out of question for me!
