I earned my M.A. in Linguistics with a focus on social and applied linguistics. My academic translations unravel the underlying complexity and implications of culturally-based attitudes, perceptions, and ideologies. Translation is a journey into the singular mind of the author as well as the ideas, viewpoints, ideologies, and norms of the collective, which often do not equate with the familiar ideas of native (monolingual) English speakers.
