Testo originale - Italiano L’olio è il prodotto che si ottiene dalla molitura delle drupe dell’olivo (Olea europea), una pianta arborea da frutto appartenente alla famiglia delle Oleacee.
Il componente quantitativamente più importante nel frutto fresco è l’acqua (40-70 %), seguono le sostanze grasse (6-25 %) contenute nel mesocarpo.
Particolare importanza, fra le componenti dell’oliva, è attribuita alla frazione fenolica che comprende l’oleuropeina, la dimentiloleuropeina, il ligstroside e il verbascoide, i precursori degli antiossidanti naturali presenti negli oli vergini di oliva.
Le componenti che sono ritenute, in modo diretto o indiretto, significativamente responsabili della qualità di un olio di oliva: i trigliceridi e le sostanze antiossidanti di natura fenolica.
I fenomeni di trasformazione che interessano principalmente la componente lipidica riguardano l’idrolisi dei trigliceridi e l’ossidazione (in questo caso non si parla di una singola reazione biochimica ma di una serie di eventi che comprendono, nello specifico, autossidazione, fotossidazione e ossidazione enzimatica).
È interessante la valutazione dell’estrazione enzimatica dell’olio di oliva attraverso mezzo acquoso che prevede la dispersione in acqua della materia prima, opportunamente macinata.
Le tecniche tradizionali sfruttate per l’estrazione dell’olio sono in grado di recuperare solamente la frazione oleosa contenuta, in forma libera nel vacuolo (rappresenta il 76% del volume totale di olio presente all’interno della drupa).
L’azione degli enzimi si manifesta anche sulle caratteristiche reologiche dell’olio, permettendo una migliore separazione della fase liquida da quella solida. Inoltre il mix enzimatico è solubile in acqua, questo significa che, al termine delle operazioni di estrazione, viene separato dall’olio eliminando l’acqua di vegetazione, non modificando, così, la composizione dell’olio.
Le classi enzimatiche comuni a tutti i test, utilizzate con tempistiche e in rapporti di concentrazione differenti in ciascun caso sperimentale, sono essenzialmente tre: pecninasi, cellulasi ed emicellulasi.
È necessario sottolineare che gli enzimi selezionati sono naturalmente presenti nella composizione dell’oliva. Questi, tuttavia, sono fortemente disattivati durante la fase critica della pressatura, probabilmente a causa di fenomeni di ossidazione.
Generalmente la formulazione enzimatica viene aggiunta all’inizio della fase di gramolatura. Questa fase, secondo i dati sperimentali, ha dimostrato essere quella più indicata per garantire una resa di estrazione maggiore e un miglioramento dei parametri qualitativi dell’olio.
Secondo i medesimi dati risultano essere due le correlazioni significative: il rapporto fra il contenuto totale di fenoli e di o-difenoli presenti nell’olio di oliva trattato con enzimi e un più elevato potere antiradicalico che conferisce all’olio una maggiore resistenza nei confronti dei fenomeni di ossidazione.
Un ulteriore parametro, oggetto di studio di diversi test sperimentali, è la temperatura di gramolatura e l’effetto che esercita sull’estrazione delle componenti più significative dell’olio di oliva. Un incremento di temperatura nel range da 20° a 30°C corrisponde a un aumento del contenuto di lipocromi e altri componenti significativi della frazione insaponificabile dell’olio.
In conclusione, i coadiuvanti enzimatici influenzano positivamente le rese e taluni importanti componenti dell’olio.

It is interesting to take into consideration the enzymatic extraction of olive oil by means of an aqueous medium which involves the dispersion of the milled raw material in water.
The traditional techniques used for extracting the oil can only recover the oily fraction contained in free form in the vacuum (it represents 76% of the total volume of oil present in the drupe).
The action of the enzymes it is also manifested in the rheological characteristics of the oil, allowing a better separation of the liquid phase from the solid phase. In addition, the enzymatic mix is soluble in water, which means that at the end of the extraction operations, it is separated from the oil by eliminating the vegetation water content, without altering the composition of the oil.
The enzymatic classes - used with different timing and concentration ratios in each experimental case – that are common to all tests, are essentially three: pectinase, cellulase and hemicellulase.
It should be emphasized that the selected enzymes, naturally present in the composition of the olive, are strongly deactivated during the critical stage of pressing, probably because of the oxidation phenomena.
The enzymatic formulation is generally added at the beginning of the grinding stage. According to the experimental data, this stage has proved to be the most suitable as it yields greater extractions and an improvement in the qualitative parameters of the oil.
The experimental results have also proved the existence of two significant correlations, in particular, the correlation between the total content of phenols and o -phenols present in the enzyme-treated olive oil and a higher antiradical power, that gives the oil greater resistance to oxidation.
Another parameter, studied in several experimental tests, is the milling temperature and the effect it exerts on the extraction of the most significant components of olive oil. An increase in temperature in the range of 20 ° to 30 ° C corresponds to an increase in the content of lipocromas and other significant components of the unsaponifiable oil fraction.
In conclusion, enzymatic adjuvants positively influence yields and certain important components of the oil.

Testo originale - Italiano A tale riguardo, in primo luogo, occorre stabilire se l’interessato potesse ragionevolmente prevedere, in base al quadro normativo vigente al tempo del fatto, che il diritto dell’Unione, in particolare l’art. 325 TFUE, avrebbe imposto al giudice di non applicare gli artt. 160, ultimo comma, e 161, secondo comma, del codice penale in presenza delle condizioni enunciate dalla sentenza Taricco.
Una simile esigenza è riconosciuta anche dalla Corte europea per i diritti dell’uomo in base all’art. 7 della Convenzione europea per i diritti dell’uomo e alla necessità, costantemente affermata, che reato e pena siano conoscibili dall’autore di un fatto fin da quando esso è commesso. Tale Corte, pur non negando che lo Stato aderente possa riconoscere alla prescrizione carattere processuale, si riserva ugualmente di sanzionare detto Stato quando, in materia penale, non vi sia una base legale certa e prevedibile a sorreggere l’estensione del potere punitivo pubblico oltre il limite temporale previsto al tempo del fatto (sentenza 20 settembre 2011, Oao Neftyanaya Kompaniya Yukos contro Russia).
Il caso qui esaminato si distingue nettamente da quello deciso dalla Grande Sezione della Corte di giustizia con la sentenza del 26 febbraio 2013, C-399/11, Melloni (EU:C:2013:107), con la quale si è escluso che, in forza delle previsioni della Costituzione di uno Stato membro, potessero aggiungersi ulteriori condizioni all’esecuzione di un mandato di arresto europeo, rispetto a quelle pattuite con il «consenso raggiunto dagli Stati membri nel loro insieme a proposito della portata da attribuire, secondo il diritto dell’Unione, ai diritti processuali di cui godono le persone condannate in absentia».

I soggetti degli arazzi sono tratti dal Nuovo Testamento e vengono tradizionalmente raggruppati in due nuclei, le storie di Pietro e quelle di Paolo, collegate sotto il profilo narrativo dalla Lapidazione di Santo Stefano, che ne costituisce una sorta di cerniera (si veda la scheda relativa).
Le diverse scene possono nell’insieme essere lette come una narrazione continua, che segue anche nella successione degli eventi il racconto neotestamentario, e in questo senso si collega con le rappresentazioni ad affresco delle pareti e della volta, a compimento del grandioso racconto sulla storia dell’umanità prima e dopo la rivelazione inaugurato dalla committenza di Sisto IV della Rovere e proseguito nei pontificati successivi. La nuova ipotesi ricostruttiva che si presenta in questo volume (infra, pp. ##-##, A.M. De Strobel, A. Nesselrath, La commissione e l’allestimento, pp. ### e le tavv. ##), fondata in prima istanza sul dato concreto delle misure degli arazzi in rapporto agli spazi a disposizione e poi anche su considerazioni di ordine narrativo, permette di individuare in diversi casi corrispondenze estetico-compositive e rimandi tematici con i soprastanti affreschi quattrocenteschi. Gli episodi rappresentati in arazzo possono anche essere letti per gruppi tematici e infine essere compresi singolarmente, come si doveva convenire ad una decorazione mobile. Sia al fine di una lettura in sequenza dei due gruppi di storie petrine e paoline, che di una lettura autonoma del singolo arazzo, di indubbia importanza risultano gli zoccoli all’antica, figurati a monocromo, che narrano episodi della vita del pontefice (al di sotto delle quattro storie di Pietro e della Lapidazione di Santo Stefano) e di San Paolo (al di sotto di quattro delle storie paoline). Se le scene principali risultano di chiara ed evidente lettura, grazie anche alla spazialità e monumentalità rinascimentali per la prima volta sperimentate in tessitura, l’interpretazione delle storie negli zoccoli ha avuto una vicenda critica meno antica ma più complessa.

The subjects of the tapestries are drawn from the New Testament and are traditionally grouped into two nuclei, the stories of Peter and those of Paul, linked in the narrative by St Stephen's Lapidation, which is a sort of hinge (see the relevant tab).
The different scenes can be read as a continuous narrative, which also follows the succession of events in the New Testament story. In this respect, it is linked to the frescoes of the walls and the vault, in fulfilment of the grandiose tale of the history of humanity before and after the revelation, commissioned by Sisto IV Della Rovere and continued in the subsequent pontificates. The new reconstructive hypothesis presented in this volume (infra, pp. ## - ##, AM De Strobel, A. Nesselrath, The commission and the set-up, pp. ### and the tabs ##), founded in the first instance on the concrete data of the measurements of the tapestries in relation to available spaces and then on the narrative order, allows to find in several cases aesthetic-compositional correspondences and thematic references to the fifteenth century frescoes above. The episodes depicted in the tapestry can also be read by thematic groups and finally be individually understood, as it should have been appropriate for a mobile decoration. For the purpose of both a sequential reading of the two groups of Peter's and Paul's stories, and that of an independent reading of each single tapestry, of undoubted importance are the old friezes, rendered in monochrome, narrating episodes of the life of the pontiff (under the four stories of Peter and St Stephen's lapidation) and Saint Paul (below four of St. Paul stories). While the main scenes are clearly and easily read, thanks also to the Renaissance sense of space and its monumentality for the first time tried in weaving, the interpretation of the stories in the friezes has had a less ancient but more complex critical story.

Traduzione - Inglese One arm of the Lake of Como turns toward the south between two unbroken chains of mountains, presenting to the eye a succession of bays and inlets, formed by their jutting and retiring ridges, until it suddenly contracts between a headland to the right and an extended sloping bank on the left, and assumes the flow and appearance of a river. The bridge connecting the two banks seems to render such transformation clearer to the eye, marking the point where the lake ceases. Here the Adda comes to being once more, to resume, however, the name of lake, as the receding banks allow the water to expand itself anew into bays and gulfs. The bank, formed by the deposit of three large mountain streams, descends from the bases of two contiguous mountains, the one called St. Martin, the other by a Lombard name, Resegone, from its long line of summits, which in fact give it the look of a saw. This distinctive appearance makes it possible, especially viewing it in front from the ramparts of Milan that face the north, to recognize it at first sight from other mountains of less name and more ordinary form of that extensive range. The bank, for a considerable distance, rises with a gentle and continual ascent, then breaks into hills and hollows, rugged or level land, according to the geological structure of the mountain rocks, and the erosion of the waters. Along its extreme fringe, the terrain is deeply intersected by mountain torrents and consists mostly of sand and pebbles. Still, the rest of the land is fields and vineyards, scattered farms, country estates, townships, and woods which extends up the mountainside. Lecco, the largest of these townships that gives its name to the district, lies not far from the bridge, on the shore of the lake. In fact, at the rising of the waters, it partly lies in the lake itself. At the time of the event we are about to relate, it was already a large town, and likely soon to become a city. This township was also fortified, and consequently had the honour to furnish quarters to a governor, and the advantage of possessing a permanent garrison of Spanish soldiers. The latter used to gave lessons in modest deportment to the women and girls of the area and tickle the backs of the odd husband or father with a stick from time to time. Toward the end of summer, they never failed to spread through the vineyards, to thin the grapes, and lighten the labours of pheasants at harvest-time. From township to township, from mountains to shore, there are countless roads and paths: some are steep and some gently sloping. They sink into the earth, buried between high walls, so that raising the eye one can only see nothing but a patch of sky, or some distant mountain peak. At other times, the tracks run across high and open terraces, from here the eye wanders over the most varied and beautiful landscapes. The different viewpoints take in now more and now less of the vast surrounding countryside. On the one side you can see the blue lake, with its boundaries cut off by various promontories and necks of land, and reflecting the inverted images of the objects on its banks; on the other, the Adda, which, flowing beneath the arches of the bridge, expands into a small lake, then contracts again, and holds on its bright serpentine course between mountains which accompany it into the distant horizon. The place itself from which you look out at those different scenes offers the most beautiful sights on all directions. Above, are the ponderous masses of the mountains on whose lower slopes you walk, which change their form with every step you take, so that what seemed a single ridge opens out and become a complex of ridges and what looked like part of the hillside now appears on the skyline as a single peak. Beneath, the domestic landscape pleasantly mitigates the wildness of the landscape and enhances its beauty.
Towards evening, on the 7th day of November, 1628, Don Abbondio, priest of one of the townships mentioned before (but its name and the family name of the priest are not to be found in this manuscript), was returning slowly towards his home, by one of these pathways. He was quietly reciting his office. From time to time, between one psalm and the other, he would close the breviary, tuck the forefinger of his right hand into it as a bookmarker, and clasp his hands together behind his back. As he went, with his foot he kicked against the wall the stones that happened to obstruct his way. Then, after raising his head and gazing idly around him, he fixed his eyes upon a mountain summit, where the rays of the setting sun, breaking through the openings of an opposite ridge, illumined its projecting masses, which appeared like large and uneven patches of purple light. He then reopened his breviary and recited another passage while reaching a bend in the track, here he used to raise his eyes from the book and look straight ahead, and so he did that day too. After the bend, the road continued straight for about sixty yards, and then branched like the arms of the letter Y into two narrow paths. The right-hand one went up towards the mountain and led to the parish house; the one on the left descended the valley towards a torrent, and on this side the wall rose out to the height of about two feet. The inner walls of the two narrow paths, instead of meeting in an angle, ended in a little chapel. On it were painted certain long, sinuous, pointed shapes, which, in the intention of the artist, and to the eyes of the locals, represented flames. Amidst these flames there were other indescribable forms which represented souls in purgatory. Souls and flames were painted in brick colour on a blackish grey background, with here and there a bare spot of plaster. As the priest turned the corner, , as he used to do, he directed his gaze toward the little chapel, and there he saw what he did not expect or want to see at all.
