Come lei ricorda nella sua introduzione l’autore Ishaq Musa al-Husayini afferma che durante la scrittura di “Mudhakkirat Dajajah” i problemi politici che affliggevano la realtà palestinese del tempo non sono nemmeno stati presi in considerazione.

Source text - English An international, interdisciplinary working group of expert scientists met in June 2004 to develop IARC Monographs on the Evaluation of the Carcinogenic Risk of Chemicals to Humans (IARC Monographs) on formaldehyde, 2-butoxyethanol, and 1-tert-butoxy-2-propanol. Each IARC Monograph includes a critical review of the pertinent scientific literature and an evaluation of an agent’s potential to cause cancer in humans. After a thorough discussion of the epidemiologic, experimental, and other relevant data, the working group concluded that formaldehyde is carcinogenic to humans, based on sufficient evidence in humans and in experimental animals. In the epidemiologic studies, there was sufficient evidence that formaldehyde causes nasopharyngeal cancer, “strong but not sufficient” evidence of leukemia, and limited evidence of sinonasal cancer. The working group also concluded that 2-butoxyethanol and 1-tert-butoxy-2-propanol are not classifiable as to their carcinogenicity to humans, each having limited evidence in experimental animals and inadequate evidence in humans. These three evaluations and the supporting data will be-published as Volume 88 of the IARC Monographs.
Translation - Italian Un gruppo di lavoro internazionale ed interdisciplinare di esperti scienziati si è riunito nel giugno 2004 per sviluppare le Monografie IARC sulla: Valutazione del Rischio Cancerogenico delle Sostanze Chimiche per l’uomo (Monografie IARC) riguardo a: formaldeide, 2-butossietanolo e 1-tert-butossi-propanolo. Ogni Monografia IARC include un’analisi critica della letteratura scientifica pertinente ed una valutazione del potenziale cancerogeno di un agente chimico sull’uomo. Dopo un’approfondita discussione circa i dati epidemiologici, sperimentali ed altri dati rilevanti, il gruppo di lavoro è giunto alla conclusione che la formaldeide è cancerogena per l’uomo in base ad una “sufficiente evidenza” nell’uomo e negli animali da esperimento. Negli studi epidemiologici c’è stata “sufficiente evidenza” che la formaldeide provoca il cancro del rinofaringe, “forte ma non sufficiente evidenza” per la leucemia e “limitata evidenza” per il cancro delle fosse nasali e dei seni paranasali. Il gruppo di lavoro ha inoltre concluso che il 2-butossietanolo e l’1-tert-butossi-2-propanolo non sono classificabili quanto alla loro cancerogenità per l’uomo in ragione di “insufficiente evidenza” e di “limitata evidenza” nell’animale da esperimento. Queste tre valutazioni ed i dati a loro sostegno saranno pubblicate come Volume 88 delle Monografie IARC.
