arena de miga soil

La terminología "oficial" en inglés de los suelos de la región de Madrid mantiene los términos en español.

"This article reports on a study to determine the erodibility factor for the following Madrid soil types known locally as "arena de miga", "tosco" and "peñuela" as a means of applying the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) to ascertain predictable soil loss in the slope cuts resulting from excavations for roads and other communication ways."

"Towards Alcorcon, the geology changes, becoming much sandier, showing arena de Miga and arena tosquiza with layers of margas for the majority of the alignment ..."

"... For this reason, slickensi ded faults are not u8ually found in the
"arena de miga" and the "tosco" typical of the higher leve1s..."

También se usa \"miga sand\", \"tosquiza sand\" etc. Pero la forma española \"pura\" és más comun.
