I think we should resist the temptation of translating it literally here and it appears that this suggestion feels more natural than the earlier one.

in dictionary,i find 'Associated' as sanjukt or sambadh.i think the first one is more appropriate.

Thanks PC, let me clarify it a little bit. When it says "associated for use with telephone number xyz", it is not connecting it to the phone number. The phone cards are associated with a phone number, and you can use the phone cards only from the associated phone number. So, you are not dialing the xyz phone number, but using the phone number (which is associated with the card) to call other numbers.
