Little did I think, back in nineteensixtysomething, that a casual courtesy translation of a French semiconductor research paper for a colleague would one day lead me to brazenly expose myself in the virtual pages of this hallowed publication. Never mind that at the time, none of us even conceived that such a publication could exist.
一九六几年时，我想都没想到，当时我偶然帮忙为一位同事所翻译的一篇法文半导体研究报告，会使得我有这么一天厚着脸皮，到这个颇富盛名的虚拟网页上发表我的意见，更别说那时，在我们之间甚至无人料想到会有朝一日存在着这么一个发表意见的园地。
请教大家，最后一句话的译法是否正确。

这当然是一些废话,我们当时连一个联想都没想到...
他刚说的话是anachronistic(= 有时代错误;不合时代的事物) -> he is indicating that he recognises this 他表示他明白这一点. 废话,当然当时连想都不能想 - 是他这篇'讲演'的一个手段,让听众乐意,感觉到他的讲演有趣儿.
